Raven's Gate (The Gatekeepers) by Anthony Horowitz

This book is exciting and catches you quickley, but all the events happen way to quickley. Worth reading, but not nearly as good as Inkheart, Inkspell, Beka Cooper, or the Bartimaeus Trilogy.

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

This book is an exciting book that will catch you instantly! It is a story about a girl named Tally who wants to become ‘pretty’ like all her other friends. In this world, uglies (all the people before they are pretty) get to become pretty through an opperation. Pretties are like celebrities, and are known for their love of partying.

Tally is about to become pretty when her friend Shay runs away to Smoke and leaves instructions on how to get there to Tally. Special Circumstances comes and says to Tally that she will never become pretty unless she betrays her friend Shay and brings here in to be turned pretty. Tally is faced with a hard choice, but ends up deciding to betray Shay. Once she gets to Shay, David(a man who lives in Smoke)’s parents show Tally a secret that makes her never want to become pretty. After falling in love with David, she decides not to betray Smoke to Special Circumstances, but they come anyways.

I would totaly read the book if I were you, and I hope that I have not given too much away in this review.
