Bone is a goldan Retriever who lives with hi mom and his sister Squirl. But then they hear a gun and there mom got shot. They try and run away but they get caught. People named Sue and George take Bone and leave Squirl. But then George throws him on the street. Now Ann and Paul adopt Bone but when they have a baby they give him to Ann's father. Ann's father Bob can barley open the door. So Bone has to hold his buissness for hours but when he dies Bone is on the street.

Charlie a 10 year old boy went to a graduation for his dead brother. He is very sad and his mother screams if he gets near her. She has to go away for a while. Charlie and his father are on his there own. Chalies old brother Rex had a dog Sunny. Chalies mom comes home. The next day the hinters are in the forest and Charlie finds Sunny dead.

Henry is a 10 year old oy who wants a dog but when he sees a dog in the street he beggs more.

Katie Kazoo ate her lunch on a cold Tuesday and the food was horrible like week old mashed potatoes, old stale fruit cups, and mushy chicken. When she got her lunch the lunch lady snaped at her and said to hurry up. Everyone in her 3rd grade class was enraged about the way she talked to them. Katie thought the lunch lady was just craby because it stunk behind the counter. But the a wind started to blow but no windows or doors were open.
When the wind stoped she was behind the counter in a shower cap and a white ugly dress. She heard kids pushing and shoving to get buy and yelling hurry up! KATIE WAS THE LUNCH LADY!
She started to sweat and get horrified but she had to serve the food to her friends. Katie poured and chopped stale food on the lunch trays. She heared all the kids shout FOOD FIGHT! They started to throw food everywhere and Katie who forgot she wasn't a kid threw food to bbut then the princepal came in and everyone was quiet. Katie felt a wind but no windows or doors were open. She was Katie again.
The princepal marched in his office with the lunch lady and Katie knew it she was fired. Read the book to see what happens next.
